COLINE CARPENTIER , born in 1994, lives and works in Lille.

" Originally from the North of France. Territory in which I naturally found my inspiration.
The countryside of my childhood looked like an open-air photo studio. There was nothing to marvel about ... and yet the common, the ordinary and the used become from the age of twelve subjects of beauty.
Very early on, I handled photography as an alchemy, a fascinating magic.
The love of photography was not a choice, as for that of the career it was, but it was obvious.
My integration at the École Supérieure des Arts de St-Luc gave me the benefit of a real learning after years of self-teaching,

and before my entry into the professional world.

The acquired technicality has become blinding for my taste. Preventing enjoying, seeing, seizing the present moment and the natural, so I put it in the background. My love for freedom and the essential things shine through in my images and at the same time draw my soul.

Depending on the chance of my wanderings, in France or abroad, I like to detect a certain sensitivity in the most abrupt settings of our century. Whether urban or natural. Photography is for me the generous means of helping others to unravel the hidden beauties that untrained eyes do not always see.
The photographs that I have collected on my way have no other claim than to associate in an aesthetic suite, geometries, natural elements, colors, faces ... like an eternal and surprising puzzle. "
