MARIE-ANNE HAMAIDE lives and works in Grosrouvre,
After a diploma in visual arts at the National School of Applied Arts in Paris 15th, Marie-Anne Hamaide completed her training as a sculptor in the workshops of Valberg and then of César, at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris.
It was as a designer of marbled papers that she began her professional activity in 1986.
For 7 years, Marie-Anne has resumed modeling after a live model in Michel Houplain's studio, at the Carré des Arts in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, Yvelines.
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
In the workshop, each new session begins with a privileged moment, that of meeting the model which is offered to the sculptor's gaze.
Marie-Anne Hamaide seeks to bear witness to this wonder, to understand the life that animates this body: the complexity and delicacy of the volumes indicate an infinity of solutions.
At first glance, the earth appears inert. But immediately, under the fingers, the fragment of clay takes shape, comes alive, becomes present. The hand crushes, pushes, stretches the clay to construct the figure, then the tool specifies the shapes.
As in a merry-go-round, the play of the harnesses intoxicates me. The sculpture nourishes its joy of representing in a figure, the radiance of the living.
